Set for Oct. 15, 2010 in the Octavius Ballroom of Caesars Palace, this year’s Super Hero Ball promises to top last year’s extravaganza. The evening will include a VIP reception, silent auction and a special performance as we raise funds for a worthy cause.
Thanks to the generosity of our friends at Harrah’s Entertainment, who are underwriting the evening, every dollar raised will go directly into our programs.
Our ball’s focus remains on enhancing the lives of those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This year we honor our Super Heroes Michelle Desrochers and Marie Mundy.
Michelle is a Best Buddies Ambassador frequently promoting our programs on TV, working with our volunteers and teaching sign language. She is currently employed at The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf®.
Michelle embodies our mission of inclusion and is a powerful example of the impact being made in the lives of those with IDD here in Neveda.
Marie Mundy, is the first hero of Best Buddies Nevada, because of her generosity and support of our programs in the community. By investing whole-heartedly in our mission she has provided a crucial foundation of support, while signaling to other donors that we are changing lives one friendship at a time.
Best Buddies Nevada currently serves more than 1,000 local participants like Michelle, who has discovered a budding self-confidence and is now part of mainstream society living life to her fullest potential. With your support more lives can be transformed.
